Location: We are based in Belgium but the work is completely remote (online). People from other countries are welcome to apply.

We are looking for a talented and creative Network & Communications Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing our social media and digital content strategy, to increase public awareness of environmental issues, promoting our initiatives and strengthening our online community.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute content strategies on social networks aligned with the mission and objectives of the organization.
Create, design, research, write, edit and publish reliable, engaging and educational content on various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and our website.
Monitor and analyze the performance of social media campaigns using analysis tools to measure the impact and make recommendations for improvement.
Manage daily interaction with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with other departments and volunteers to ensure consistency of the organization's message and identity across all platforms.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in social media and environmental communication.
Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns to increase reach and engagement in our initiatives.
Create and manage an editorial calendar of content focused on environmental and sustainability issues.

Requirements:
Degree in Communication, Journalism, Environmental Sciences or related field.
There are no experience requirements, but creativity is a must.
Interest in environmental issues and commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.
Ability to create engaging visual and written content.
Skill using Canva and other video and photo editing tools. Knowledge of the main social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube) and their best practices.
Experience using social media analysis tools (Google Analytics) is desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. (Dutch, French or Spanish are a plus).
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent research, organization and detail-oriented skills.
Initiative and ability to work independently and in a team.
Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing techniques is desirable.
Availability of two to three hours a day from Monday to Friday (work hours are flexible).

Terms and Conditions:
This position is to join our team of volunteers who wish to be part of the Embrace the Earth organizational body. Therefore, this is not a paid position. Our volunteers are expected to commit to working remotely 2-3 hours daily, although scheduling is flexible. The ideal for our organization is to find volunteers who wish to be part of it on a long-term basis, however, applications for internships are also a possibility. Let us know in your motivation letter what is best for you.
The minimum duration of the internship is 3 months.
English is the official language of the organization.
